Jaipur: Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police Sunday arrested a 35-year-old woman for allegedly securing 20th rank in the school lecturer recruitment 2022 exam by accessing the question paper in advance.ADG (SOG) VK Singh identified the accused as Kavita Lakhera, currently posted as an economics teacher in Beawar district. Singh said the paper was leaked of the Economics Teacher (School Education) competitive exam conducted by RPSC on Oct 15 and 16, 2022.After verifying initial leads, an FIR was registered at the SOG police station on April 10, 2025. In the course of the investigation, Kavita’s brother, Deepak Lakshkar, was arrested. Following his interrogation, Kavita, a resident of Sunita Colony in Jaipur who was absconding, was arrested Sunday. She was produced in court and remanded to three-day police custody.Preliminary interrogation revealed that Kavita, with her brother’s help, paid Rs 25 lakh to access the exam paper a day in advance. Several candidates, including Kavita, were gathered overnight at a specific location, where they were shown the leaked paper before being sent to exam centres. Kavita appeared for the test and secured the 20th rank.
