152 critical polling stns identified in 18 civic bodies

Jaipur: Ahead of the first phase of urban local body elections on Sept 9, authorities have identified 152 critical polling stations across 18 civic bodies where additional security and monitoring arrangements will be in place.Chomu has the highest number of critical polling stations at 23, followed by Shahpura with 20 and Chaksu with 13. Manoharpur, Khejroli, Kishangarh-Renwal, Vatika and Kanota have eight each, while Naraina and Bagru have seven each. Phagi has six, while Kaladera, Sambhar Lake, Phulera, Jobner and Dudu have five each. Bassi has four critical polling stations.Polling will be held from 7am to 6pm on Sept 9. Polling parties for the first phase left for their respective polling stations from Shri Bhawani Niketan College of Pharmacy on Sikar Road Tuesday in two shifts. Officials have made arrangements for training, distribution of election material, vehicles and security. District Election Officer Sandesh Nayak has directed officials to ensure all arrangements are completed on time.
