The premises were sealed for 180 days or until further orders.Explaining how compliance will be monitored, DC Fire Praveen Kumar said, “Fire and public safety remain our highest priority. The institutions have been granted a limited 30-day relaxation solely to enable compliance with fire safety norms, and no commercial activity is permitted during this period.”He added, “Compliance will be monitored through regular inspections and coordination with the local administration. Any violation of the conditions will invite immediate action, including resealing and other proceedings as per law.”Officials said the move is intended to allow the affected establishments to install the required firefighting systems and obtain the necessary clearances while ensuring that public safety is not compromised.Authorities made it clear that any institution found carrying out commercial operations during the relaxation period or failing to meet the stipulated conditions will face strict action under the relevant provisions of law.
