Jaipur: The 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR) was held with great pomp and success at the Hilton, Jaipur. The event was attended by a significant number of founding members, former presidents, senior hoteliers, restaurant operators, tourism industry representatives, and members from across the state.A new executive committee was unanimously formed. The members elected Hemant Mittal as President, Adhiraj Singh Shahpura as General Secretary, Aseem Parikh as Treasurer, Luv Shekhawat as Joint Secretary, and Tarun Bansal as Immediate Past President.On this occasion, outgoing President Tarun Bansal thanked all members for their support during his tenure. He congratulated the new executive committee and expressed confidence that HRAR, with renewed energy and a fresh perspective, will take Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism industry to new heights.Presenting his annual report, General Secretary Adhiraj Singh Shahpura briefly highlighted the major achievements of the past year. He stated that several important tasks related to member interests were successfully accomplished, including membership expansion, effective representation on various issues related to the hotel and tourism industry before the state and central governments, training programs in the tourism sector, participation in national tourism fairs, and cleanliness and heritage conservation campaigns.He attributed these achievements to all the organization’s members, executive committee, and affiliated organizations.Treasurer Aseem Parikh then presented the audited financial report and income-expenditure statement for the year 2025-26 to the assembly. He presented a detailed account of the association’s financial position and various activities, which was unanimously approved by the assembly.Members appreciated his contribution to maintaining financial discipline and transparency within the organization and unanimously re-appointed him as treasurer.Newly appointed President Hemant Mittal expressed gratitude for the members’ trust and stated that the new executive committee will work towards making the organization more empowered, active, and member-centric. He stated that his priority would be to accelerate the overall development of Rajasthan’s hotel and tourism industry by coordinating with the government, the tourism department, and all stakeholders in the tourism industry.During the meeting, members expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the leadership of outgoing President Tarun Bansal, describing his tenure as memorable for its unity, financial discipline, transparency, active member participation, and effective representation of industry interests.Founding members of the organization, Bhim Singh Rathore (Rajasthan Tours) and Ajay Agarwal (LMB), graced the occasion. Former Presidents Apoorva Kumar (Chairman, Clarks Group of Hotels), Rishipal Singh, and Kuldeep Singh Chandela (Spice Court) were also present.All members expressed their respect and gratitude for their guidance, experience, and invaluable contributions to the organization’s development. Special thanks were extended to Hilton Jaipur’s General Manager, Rahul Bhagat, Director of Sales, Shivendra, and their entire team for the successful organization of the event.
