Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has sought replies from the state principal home secretary, DGP and Bharatpur SP on a petition alleging that a constable, bedridden after suffering a brain haemorrhage, has not received his salary since July 2025.Justice Ganesh Ram Meena passed the interim order on Sept 23 while hearing a petition filed by Usha, wife of constable Jogendra Singh. The authorities have been asked to respond by Oct 5.Singh, posted at Bharatpur Police Line, fell ill and was hospitalised on Aug 18, 2024. He was later referred to Jaipur, where he suffered a brain haemorrhage and has remained bedridden.According to the petition, a medical assessment found weakness in all four limbs and certified 90% permanent locomotor disability. The competent medical authority issued the disability certificate on Sept 8, 2026.The petition seeks release of salary arrears from July 2025 and regularisation of his medical absence.
