Jaipur: A 68-year-old woman died after a dumper truck ran over her near Rotary Circle in Transport Nagar Wednesday evening.Gyanvati Sharma, a resident of Brahmpuri, was riding pillion on a motorcycle with her husband when the truck hit their vehicle. She fell on the road and came under the wheels of the dumper. Her husband, Deen Dayal, sustained injuries to his legs, SHO (Transport Nagar) Arun Kumar said.Preliminary investigation revealed that the dumper was laden with gravel. Police said it is a matter of probe whether the vehicle was plying illegally at the time of the incident.The driver fled the spot after the accident. Police said efforts are underway to trace the vehicle. tnn
