Jaipur: A fresh controversy erupted Thursday when Education minister Madan Dilawar waded into the ongoing war of words between state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra and Agriculture minister Kirori Lal Meena, with Dilawar likening Dotasra’s allegations against Meena to the remarks of a “loose woman accusing one who is faithful.”“Dotasra is dishonest and shameless, while Meena is as pure as gold; no allegations against him ever stick,” Dilawar said, a remark that triggered a fresh diatribe from Dotasra, who accused the BJP and RSS of routinely appointing people who know nothing about the subjects they are in charge of.“A person who doesn’t understand the basics of education becomes education minister, one with no knowledge of higher education becomes higher education minister, one who betrays farmers becomes agriculture minister, and someone who knows nothing about any subject becomes the chief minister. This RSS-style model has ruined Rajasthan,” Dotasra said.Congress, meanwhile, also reacted sharply to Dilawar’s statements, accusing him of using unparliamentary language and making inappropriate remarks routinely.“The low-level language used against PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra shows the complete lack of dignity expected from someone in this position,” said PCC General Secretary Swarnim Chaturvedi.Chaturvedi also claimed the minister made the undignified remarks about women while seated next to a woman teacher. “Chief Minister should take note of the matter and initiate action against him,” he said.
