Udaipur: Police Tuesday launched the state’s 1st AI-based WhatsApp chatbot helpline system in Udaipur to ensure the convenience and safety of tourists. It was inaugurated by Udaipur Range IG Gaurav Shrivastava and SP Amrita Duhan at the police conference hall.IG Shrivastava said WhatsApp number 7300059984 was issued under the new initiative. He said tourists coming to Udaipur will be able to send a message on this number in any emergency situation and get immediate assistance from police.He said tourists will also be able to obtain information related to hospitals, tourist places, the area around them, or any incident through the chatbot. He said there will be no need to download any application, log in, or make a phone call to use the service.The IG said it was an effective response system and messages sent on WhatsApp chatbot will be answered through AI technology. He said a dashboard was prepared for all information received on the chatbot and it will be monitored from the Udaipur Police Control Room. On receiving any complaint or information, he said the control room will immediately send the information to the concerned police station.SP Amrita Duhan said that 12 different categories have been determined in the chatbot. She said a person seeking assistance will have to select a category according to their problem and share their location so that the police team can immediately reach the spot and provide the necessary assistance.
