Jaipur: Rajasthan Vidyut Utpandan Nigam Ltd has launched a recruitment drive for 2,005 vacancies for the state’s five electricity companies for various technical and non-technical posts.The vacancies include 869 junior engineers, comprising 727 electrical, 110 mechanical, and 32 civil engineers, along with 371 junior accountants and 765 junior assistants.According to the notification, detailed guidelines for the recruitment process will be released in July, when online applications will also open. Eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official websites of the state’s power utilities.State energy minister Heeralal Nagar said the recruitment drive reflects the govt’s commitment to creating employment opportunities for youth while addressing staffing requirements in the power sector. He noted that the recruitment is being undertaken in line with budget announcements made by CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and is aimed at strengthening Rajasthan’s electricity infrastructure.The minister said applications have been invited for posts across all five state power companies—generation, transmission and the three distribution utilities serving Jaipur, Ajmer, and Jodhpur regions. Recruitment comes as the state continues efforts to modernise and expand its power network.Announcement follows closely on the heels of another major hiring exercise. The final results for recruitment to 2,163 technician-III posts were declared on June 22, and appointment orders were issued on June 24.The recruitment drive is expected to provide a significant boost to employment while helping address manpower shortages in the state-owned power companies.
