Jaipur: The 6th National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, under the aegis of the Rajasthan Tennis Ball Cricket Association, will be held at the historic Chaugan Stadium in Jaipur from July 28 to 30, 2026.Eleven men’s teams and seven women’s outfits from across the country will participate and showcase their talent.Chairperson of the Rajasthan Tennis Ball Cricket Association, Rajiv Arora, stated that tennis ball cricket is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country today. The sport was formally recognised by the Indian Olympic Association in 1995. Its foundations were laid by the late NR Siddiqui, the late Lari, and Mirza Manzoor Beg.In its nearly three-decade journey, tennis ball cricket has provided a platform for millions of players to showcase their talents and has given a new direction to the sports careers of many.

He said the format of the tournament sets it apart from other cricket competitions. Each team consists of nine players, and a unique rule is that a batsman is considered out if he hits a six, making the matches more exciting, strategic, and highly engaging for spectators.Arora stated that the Rajasthan Tennis Ball Cricket Association and the Jaipur District Tennis Ball Cricket Association have made extensive preparations for the successful organisation of this national competition. Excellent accommodations, including all modern amenities, have been made at a state-of-the-art private hotel for players arriving from various states, so that the players can perform their best with full energy and enthusiasm.He expressed confidence that this three-day national competition will not only provide a platform for excellent sportsmanship, but will also further strengthen national unity, brotherhood, and sportsmanship among the athletes.
