Jaipur: The Madan Dilawar-led ministerial committee on delimitation of panchayat wards has proposed the creation of 3,443 new gram panchayats and 81 panchayat samitis in Rajasthan in the report it submitted to Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The recommendations of the five-member committee on gram panchayats, panchayat samitis, and zila parishads will be examined by the CM and the final report released following a green signal from the CMO. Official said the ministerial committee scrutinised all proposals received from panchayats and districts for reorganisation of gram panchayats, panchayat samitis, and Zila Parishads. Rajasthan govt had missed its original June 4 deadline to finalise the list of new gram panchayats and panchayat samitis following the delimitation process. tnn
