Jaipur: Sindhi Camp police Tuesday arrested an engineering student from a private college in Kukas for allegedly masterminding a cryptocurrency scam using fake identities and online fraud. The accused, identified as Divyanshu Singh (21), allegedly kidnapped a man from Churu district with the help of his accomplices and forced him to transfer cryptocurrency worth Rs 4.5 lakh.DCP (West) Amit Kumar said the case was first reported on Nov 22, when Churu resident Sameer Khan filed a complaint. Khan stated that on Nov 14, he received a message from someone identifying himself as Shyam, offering a job opportunity in the share market. Following the exchange, Khan travelled to Jaipur on Nov 20 with two of his friends. Near Sindhi Camp police station, the accused made Khan and his friends sit in a car that already had two other men inside.They were then taken to a remote area near the Daulatpura toll plaza, where 10 to 15 more men joined them.
