Jaipur: Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra accused the central government of tapping the phones of Rajasthan’s chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and other ministers. He said, “If our chief minister and ministers advise against speaking directly on the phone because their calls are being listened to by those in Delhi, you can imagine the state of affairs.”Dotasra credited former deputy CM Sachin Pilot for strengthening the Congress party, leading to their 2018 victory. He criticized BJP leaders for undermining each other, fearing decisions from Delhi. On the RAS mains exam, he said, “No one in the BJP respects its state president Madan Rathore ji. He gave an assurance for the cancellation of the exam, but it is being held.” Earlier, BJP functionary Rajendra Rathore said, “Our state president (Madan Rathore) has communicated all matters regarding the RAS recruitment to the competent authorities. New RPSC chairman will take a decision on this.”After meetings with Congress assembly coordinators, Dotasra announced that 80% of mandal and block committees are formed, with details uploaded on the PCC website. By June 28, booth level agents for all 200 assembly areas will be submitted to the Election Commission. He emphasised strengthening the organization and giving 50% of election tickets to people under 50. Dotasra also criticised the govt for not conducting surveys for Panchayati Raj and municipal elections, questioning UDH minister Jhabar Singh Kharra’s authority to announce elections.
