Jaipur: Rising city tennis player Aaradhya Mishra finished runner-up in the U-10 girls’ singles category at the Pro Tennis U-10 tournament which concluded at the Professional Sports Club here on Sunday.The two-day tourney was held under the aegis of the All India Tennis Association (AITA).The final witnessed a closely contested match between Jaipur’s Aaradhya Mishra and Jodhpur’s Rishika Gunawat, with the latter clinching the title 2-1.In the boys’ category, Ryan Patel defeated Chris Reno Raj in a one-sided final, winning 2-0 to clinch the title.Apart from Rajasthan, the tournament saw participation from players representing Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam, and Haryana. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by chief guest Dr Jugal Kishore Kabra and Jitendra Sharma.Earlier this year, Aaradhya had already made her mark on the national circuit by winning two U-10 National Championship titles in AITA tournaments. In 2025, she also won the Rajasthan State Championship and secured the Jaipur District Junior Tennis Championship title.According to her coach, Vikram Jangid, Aaradhya is a gifted player and the state has high expectations from her. Aaradhya is a student of St. Xavier’s School, C-Scheme, Jaipur.
