Jaipur: Two initiatives of the Rajasthan School Education Department, aimed at improving students’ mental well-being and learning outcomes through technology, have received Skoch Awards at the 110th Skoch Summit held in New Delhi.The initiatives, ‘Khushishala Khud Ki Khoj’ and ‘AI-Based Competency Assessment’, were recognised for their student-centric approach and efforts to improve education quality.‘Khushishala Khud Ki Khoj’ focuses on strengthening students’ self-awareness, mental health, well-being and compassion. The initiative also aims to foster a positive classroom environment, enabling students to develop emotionally and socially alongside their academic learning.The second initiative, ‘AI-Based Competency Assessment’, uses artificial intelligence and technology-based assessments to track students’ learning progress. It enables data-based reviews of their competencies and helps identify learning gaps, allowing teachers to provide targeted remedial teaching wherever required.State project director and commissioner Rashmi Sharma said the recognition reflected collective efforts of teachers, students and the department team. She added that the focus was on taking such innovations to schools for the benefit of every student.
