Alwar: Two children, identified as Gaurav Meena (4) and his sister Harshita Meena (7), were electrocuted near a borewell in Karanpura village, Alwar district, Saturday morning. Family members said the children came in contact with an electrical starter used to start the motor. They were taken to CHC Raini, where they were declared dead.Raini station house officer Bane Singh said another child, who was playing with them, informed the children’s family working in the field. The victims’ grandfather, Girraj Prasad Meena, said both were at home before the incident and had been asked to bring water to the field. He said the accident occurred while they were going towards the field.The bodies were handed over to the family after post-mortem. A probe is underway.
