Jaipur: A late Friday night fire at NIMS Hospital and Medical College, a private facility near Jaipur, triggered panic after smoke was reported from the false ceiling of an operation theatre on the ground floor, police said.The fire broke out around 11pm at the hospital, located about 40km from Jaipur. The operation theatre was closed at the time, preventing immediate danger to patients or staff. Smoke soon spread towards the MICU area, prompting hospital staff to evacuate patients and attendants as a precaution.Staff began efforts to control the blaze, which was initially confined to the false ceiling. Chandwaji police reached the spot and assisted in the evacuation, moving patients and family members to a safe open area outside the building.“No casualty has been reported in the fire,” a hospital official said.The hospital administration also cleared parts of the building as a safety measure. All patients and attendants were subsequently rescued, police said.
