Rajasthan ranks 11th in CBSE class 12 results with nearly 87% pass rate

Jaipur/Ajmer: Rajasthan secured 11th position among 22 CBSE regions in the Class 12 board examination results declared Wednesday afternoon, recording an overall pass percentage of 86.78 across science, commerce and humanities streams.The Trivandrum region topped the national list once again, while Prayagraj region remained at the bottom. Ahmedabad and Pune, which were earlier part of the Ajmer region, outperformed Rajasthan’s Ajmer region by securing 7th and 10th positions, respectively. Girls continued to outperform boys in the state. The pass percentage among girls stood at 90.14, while boys recorded 84.26. A total of 7,440 students were placed in compartment, accounting for 8.44% of the total candidates. As per the results, 88,118 students from Rajasthan appeared for the CBSE Class 12 board exams. Of them, 50,354 were boys and 37,766 were girls. A total of 42,427 boys and 34,041 girls passed, taking the total number of successful candidates to 76,468. A total of 176 Children With Special Needs also appeared in the examination. In Rajasthan, 1,132 schools participated in the CBSE Class 12 examination and 533 examination centres were set up across the state. School-wise data released by CBSE showed that Kendriya Vidyalayas recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.63. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas followed with 99.35, while Eklavya Model Residential Schools posted 95.16. Independent schools in Rajasthan recorded 86.52% , govt schools 82.71%, and govt-aided schools 74.71%. Category-wise, general category students recorded the best performance in Rajasthan. Out of 47,212 general category students who appeared, 41,737 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 88.40. Among OBC students, 30,370 appeared and 25,874 passed, taking the pass percentage to 85.20. In the ST category, 4,297 students appeared and 3,660 passed, recording 85.18%. SC students registered the lowest performance, with 6,239 appearing and 5,197 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 83.30.
