Jaipur: Two brothers were buried alive Saturday after the walls of a 40-foot-deep well caved in on them as they were trying to retrieve a water pump buried inside. The incident took place in Amargarh village under Sapotara police station area of Karauli district.Although local villagers launched a frantic rescue operation, later aided by police and rescue teams, both men were declared dead at a local hospital.Police said the two brothers, Mukesh Meena (35) and Kamlesh Meena (32), had been digging inside the old well for a few days to try and retrieve a motor pump from its depths. tnn
