Kota: Two girls were injured after a tractor-trolley carrying electric poles rammed into a grocery shop on Naya Talab Road under Jhalawar city police station limits Saturday, police said.The injured were identified as Komal, 12, and Garima, 6, both residents of Gaongher. The girls were buying groceries outside the shop when the tractor-trolley crashed into the store, trapping them between the vehicle and the shop counter. The woman running the shop also suffered minor injuries.Locals rescued the injured and shifted them to SRG Hospital. Komal was admitted to the surgical ICU, while Garima underwent medical evaluation.
Police said both girls are out of danger.According to police, the driver lost control of the steering while accelerating. He, along with three other occupants of the tractor-trolley, fled the spot, abandoning the vehicle. Eyewitnesses claimed the driver appeared to be a minor.Police seized the tractor-trolley and registered a case against an unidentified driver. Deputy Superintendent of Police Harshraj Singh said efforts were underway to trace the accused driver, and a notice has been issued to the owner of the tractor-trolley.
