Udaipur: Three persons, including a 13th RAC Battalion head constable, died after a speeding SUV hit two bikes in the Varda police station area of Dungarpur Sunday night. One injured youth was undergoing treatment at Dungarpur hospital.Varda SHO Devendra Singh stated the accident took place Sunday night near Aantari, when the SUV hit two bikes. The deceased were 13th RAC Battalion Head Constable Dhulsingh Chauhan (55), his cousin Mahipal Singh (54), and Dinesh Rot (21).The report said that after duty, Dhulsingh was returning home Sunday with Mahipal Singh riding pillion on his bike. After the collision, the SUV driver fled with the vehicle and was being searched for. As it went ahead, the SUV again hit a second bike, leaving Dinesh Rot and Sandeep Rot (29), a resident of Bayoda, seriously injured.People brought all four injured to Dungarpur hospital. After examination, the doctor declared Dhulsingh Chauhan and Dinesh Rot dead. Mahipal Singh’s condition was critical and he was referred to Udaipur hospital, where he also died during treatment.After receiving information about the accident, Varda police reached the hospital. Two bodies were kept in the mortuary of Dungarpur hospital and one body was kept in the mortuary of Udaipur hospital. On Monday, after postmortem, all three bodies were handed over to the family members.A case of accident was registered against the SUV driver and an investigation was started while beginning the search for him. Head constable Dhulsingh Chauhan was posted at Dungarpur District Jail.
