Jaipur: Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital has paid Rs10 crore to Public Works Department (PWD) for repair and maintenance work during the monsoon and post-monsoon periods, officials said Thursday.“PWD identified areas where leakage takes place and repairs have already been done. We paid Rs 10 crore to PWD for such works,” said Dr Sushil Bhati, medical superintendent.The hospital has arranged a sufficient number of mud pumps to remove water from areas where waterlogging takes place. The mud pumps were used two days ago in some parts of the hospital where waterlogging was reported.The hospital has also arranged machines from Jaipur Municipal Corporation to clean drains on its premises. Besides, the electric wiring was repaired and the terrace cleaned, while old pipelines for removing water were changed.
