Rajasthan’s Ayushi Bhandari named vice-captain of Indian women’s volleyball team for National Cup in Vietnam

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Ayushi Bhandari has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian women’s volleyball team for the National Cup Volleyball Championship scheduled to be held in Vietnam from June 7 to 14.The 27-year-old Ayushi, who plays as an opposite in the Indian squad, will be deputy to Kerala’s Anusree Kambrath Poyilil in the 14-member side, which is a mixture of experience and youth. The Indian team had a preparatory camp prior to the tournament.Nilesh Matte of Maharashtra will be the head coach of the team, while Shazia Cariappa Machamada will be the assistant coach.
