Jaipur: Making a history of sorts, Sneha Lamba stormed into three finals in the ongoing Rajasthan State Ranking Badminton Championship at the Indoor Badminton Hall of Sawai Mansingh Stadium here on Tuesday.Jaipur shuttler Sneha performed brilliantly to enter the finals of Under-19 girls’ singles, women’s singles and women’s doubles, making her place among the most successful players of the competition.In the women’s singles semi-finals, Sneha ousted Tanisha Singh of Rajsamand 15-5, 15-6 to enter the final. She downed Paridhi Solanki of Udaipur to reach the summit clash of U-19 girls singles.In the women’s doubles semi-finals, the pair of Sneha and Utsava Palet of Jaipur squeezed out the duo of Andita and Anushka Maheshwari 15-9, 15-17, 15-7 to her third final. Jaipur’s pair of Aaradhya and Deshna Jain overcame the stiff challenge from Kanishka and Poonam Swami 15-8, 12-15, 15-7.In the men’s singles semis, Bhuvan Singh of Bharatpur accounted for Sudeep Chahar of Jaipur 15-9, 15-11, while Shubham Patel of Alwar got the better of Jaipur’s Manish Phogat 15-13, 15-9 to enter the final.

Bhuvan Singh and Ayush dismissed Aditya Rajoria and Deepanshu of Tonk 15-13, 15-11 in the men’s doubles. In the other semis, Danish Srivastava and Shubham Patel of Alwar overpowered Aryan Tyagi and Murali Sharma 15-9, 15-6.Bikaner’s Jagrut Binani and Kavya Swami thumped Sachin Jhajharia and Tanisha Singh 15-9, 15-12 to sail into the mixed doubles final where they will face Murali Sharma and Saril Choudhary.In the Under-19 boys’ singles, the title clash will be played between Vishal Chaudhary of Jaipur and Shreyansh Chaudhary. Vishal edged out Jaivardhan Singh 15-11, 16-14, while Shreyansh prevailed over Nidish of Udaipur 18-16, 15-6.In the Under-19 Boys doubles, Udaipur’s Mantra Agarwal and Nidish defeated Ayushman Chaudhary and Garvit Barwar 15-11, 8-15, 15-13. In the second semis, Jaipur’s Bhanu Pratap and Jaivardhan Singh thrashed Harman Pandit and Kardav 15-8, 15-7.Organising secretary Atul Gupta stated that the finals will begin at 9am, while the prize distribution ceremony will be held at 11.45am.The chief guest will be former health minister and Malviya Nagar MLA Kalicharan Saraf.Tuesday’s chief guests were Prakash Sharma and Ajay Sharma, vice presidents of the Jaipur District Badminton Association. Manoj Dasot, vice president of the Rajasthan Badminton Association, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the players.
