JDA has proposed build 9km of footpaths along five major roads

Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) will construct 9 km of footpaths along five major roads in the city at a cost of Rs 6.33 crore. The stretches include New Sanganer Road (Gurjar Ki Thadi to Ajmer Road), Kings Road, Gopalpura Bypass, Mahesh Nagar 80-feet Road and Hans Marg (Gopalpura Bypass to Riddhi Siddhi Underpass).JDA commissioner Siddharth Mahajan said the project would include greenery along the footpaths. The roads have several commercial establishments and coaching institutes, resulting in significant pedestrian movement. JDA has received financial and administrative approval and plans to start work before Diwali, with tenders to be invited shortly.
