Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) Monday cleared encroachments from a 2-km stretch on the 100-foot sector road boundary from Malpura Gate Junction to Dadabari Junction in Zone 8. In Zone-10, encroachment was cleared from around five bighas of govt land, officials said.In Zone-8, around 125 temporary encroachments, including illegally constructed platforms, stairs, walls, iron angles, tin sheds, stalls, carts, hoardings, signboards, tables, and chairs, were removed. “Despite warnings to the encroachers, they failed to clear encroachments, leading to a joint operation with JMC-Greater with revenue and technical staff. In Zone-10, near Sumel scheme, JDA-owned land of about five bighas was illegally levelled and a mud road was constructed. The enforcement team demolished the encroachments,” said JDA. tnn
