Jaipur: A 32-year-old woman died under suspicious circumstances after her husband allegedly pushed her during a domestic quarrel at their rented house in Mansarovar’s Agarwal Farm area Saturday.Police have taken the husband into custody for questioning and are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.The deceased, Beena Saini, wife of Rahul Saini, was found lying on the floor of the house with blood oozing from her nose late Saturday night.DCP (South) Rajarshi Raj Varma said the couple had a history of frequent domestic disputes. Rahul, a motorcycle mechanic, left for work around 10 am. A short while later, Beena went to his workplace, where the two allegedly argued before returning home, where the quarrel continued.During the altercation, Rahul allegedly pushed Beena, causing her to fall and hit her head on the floor. She lost consciousness, police said. Instead of taking her to a hospital, Rahul allegedly locked the room and returned to work, leaving her unattended.Police said Rahul returned home around 10 pm and found the main gate open. On entering the room, he found Beena lying motionless with blood coming from her nose and alerted the police.A team from Shiprapath police station, along with forensic experts, inspected the house and collected evidence. The body was shifted to Jaipuria Hospital for post-mortem examination.Police said Rahul remains in custody for sustained interrogation. Investigators said the couple had been involved in frequent quarrels for a long time, following which their son and daughter had been sent to live with their grandmother.Officials said the exact cause of death and whether the head injury alone proved fatal would be established after the post-mortem report. Further legal action will be taken based on the medical findings and the outcome of the investigation.
