Jaipur: Social worker Nirmala Rawat will lead an Indian delegation to Malaysia for the Second Asian Paralympic Throwball Championships, which will be held in Malaysia from June 1 to 5, 2026 with approximately 400 athletes from around the world participating.In a significant initiative to provide an international platform to disabled sports talent, a team of Indian athletes and officials, led by social worker Nirmala Rawat, will be participating in the Second Asian Paralympic Throwball Championships, to be held in Malaysia from June 1 to 5.This international competition will be held in Malaysia in June first week, with approximately 400 athletes from around the world participating. Nirmala Rawat will be joined in the Indian contingent by her husband and social activist Laxman Rawat, Om Prakash Sharma, Chairman of Shekhawati Ayurveda Medical College, Pilani, Professor Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, Professor Dr Seema Sharma, Dr Mamta Prajapati, Advocate Lalit Sharma, and social activist Mahesh Sharma.Federation chairman Sir Vesena of Cambodia and Albert Premkumar of Coimbatore from India will also participate.Lalit Sharma, Advocate, Public Relations Officer of the Olympic Games Throwball Federation, stated that approximately 400 athletes from various countries will participate in the competition.This event will be a great opportunity for athletes with disabilities to showcase their talent.
