Jaisalmer: After Operation Sindoor, the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer once again became a showcase of evolving warfare technology as the Indian Air Force commenced its first-ever Dronathon-2026, featuring demonstrations of advanced indigenous unmanned and counter-unmanned systems.The three-day event, planned from 14 to 16 September 2026, brings together over 20 leading defence companies, start-ups MSMEs, DPSUs and innovators from India’s rapidly evolving unmanned systems ecosystem.On Tuesday Indian Air Force successfully demonstrated a key capability of “Vayu UTtaM,” its indigenously developed multi-mode Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) system.In the exercise held in the presence of Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, who was the chief guest.
