Jaipur: Dausa police arrested a man, identified as Vinod Jat, Friday and seized a huge cache of illegal weapons and ammunition. The seized items included three firearms and over 250 cartridges, sources said. Jat is a history-sheeter from Bharatpur and has over 50 criminal cases registered against him. His arrest has put the local police on high alert.A police officer said Jat is a resident of Kherli police station area. “He was arrested from Mahwa area in the district and was found carrying one pistol, two revolvers, and 250 live cartridges at the time of his arrest,” said the officer.He added that Jat is currently being interrogated. “He has a history of violent crimes, including firing at police teams. We are investigating the source of the weapons and trying to establish who he may have intended to target,” said the officer.
