Form panel to probe Ramsetu damage: Kharra

Ajmer: UDH minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, Friday evening, inspected the damaged elevated bridge, Ramsetu, in Ajmer and directed the formation of a committee to submit a report on the construction quality of the road. He said, “Action will be taken against those found guilty of such construction.”After the first heavy rain Wednesday in Ajmer, the elevated road, referred to locally as a bridge, was damaged, with cracks and holes appearing in the road. The administration stopped traffic on the wing going up from Nasia Temple, and the municipal corporation started repair work. The minister told the media, “Preliminary findings suggest that quality was compromised.” He said a three-member technical committee was formed, and they would submit the report in three days. He also asked RSRDC to provide a technical evaluation of what was lacking in the construction. TNN
