Jaipur: The city district collectorate issued a notice to Nagaur MP and RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal, asking him to vacate his govt house Thursday. The notice was issued by the estate officer and additional district magistrate. Officials said the notice was issued following a recent complaint filed by the Public Works Department (PWD). His brother, Narayan Beniwal, and former MLA Pukhraj Garg also received similar eviction notices.“All three have been told to vacate their govt residences by July 11 as they are no longer MLAs. Still, they are occupying flats at the Jyoti Nagar MLA Complex,” an official stated. Although Beniwal won from the Khinvsar assembly constituency in the 2023 polls, he had to resign as MLA after becoming the Nagaur MP following the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Beniwal’s wife contested from Khinvsar in the bypoll but lost.Earlier, on Thursday, electricity connection was disconnected from Beniwal’s residence in Nagaur after the discom alleged unpaid dues of over Rs 11 lakh. Beniwal’s brother, Premsukh Beniwal, is the owner of the house. RLP too operates from the house.
