Jaipur: Bodies of a 70-year-old man and his 32-year-old son were found lying in the courtyard of their home in a small hamlet near Lala village in Dausa district early Saturday. Police suspect the two were beaten to death late Friday night. The deceased were identified as Thanyaram Bairwa and his son Ghanshyam Bairwa. The village, located in a quiet and sparsely populated area, woke up to the grim discovery when locals noticed the bodies and informed the police. According to police, Ghanshyam’s wife Nirmala had an argument with him Friday evening. She is believed to have contacted her family, alleging harassment by her husband and in-laws. Later that night, some vehicles were seen entering the village. Locals suspect that those who came were her relatives.A police team reached the spot. The area around the Bairwa home was cordoned off and a forensic team was called in to collect evidence. The bodies were found in the family’s courtyard, with signs suggesting that a violent altercation had taken place there.Given the tension in the area, police force was deployed in the village to maintain calm. Senior officers said the situation was under control and further investigation would be carried out once a formal complaint is lodged by the family.
