Congress workers burn effigy of BJP’s Agrawal after ‘imposter’ remarks on Pilot

Bhilwara: Congress workers staged a protest in Tonk city Tuesday against Rajasthan BJP in-charge Radha Mohan Das Agrawal over his alleged remarks targeting AICC national general secretary and Tonk MLA Sachin Pilot. The party workers, led by Tonk District Congress President Saud Saidi, took out a mock funeral procession started from Gandhi Park and concluded at Ghanta Ghar Chowk where they burnt an effigy of Agrawal and raised slogans including “Sachin Pilot Zindabad” and “Radha Mohan Das Agrawal Murdabad”.The protest follows remarks reportedly made by Agrawal during BJP national president Nitin Nabin’s rally in Tonk where he allegedly referred to Pilot as a “fugitive from UP” and an “imposter”.Congress leaders across Rajasthan have condemned the comments. State Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasara and LoP Tikaram Jully Monday demanded an apology from Agrawal, calling the remarks derogatory and unacceptable.
