Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Tuesday approved disciplinary action against two Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) officers and suspended a Rajasthan Jail Service officer.The CM ordered suspension of Saroj Vishnoi, deputy superintendent of the Women’s Correctional Home in Jaipur, over allegations that she allowed a woman inmate to stay with her, interfered in official work and accepted money to provide illegal favours to prisoners. He also approved her transfer to the Bharatpur headquarters.Sharma also cleared disciplinary proceedings under Rule 16 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1958 against Devaram Singh, assistant commissioner of police (Cyber Crime), Jodhpur. The officer allegedly showed negligence while serving as SHO of Kama police station in Deeg district and attempted to shield seven of the eight accused in a murder case during investigation.In another case, Sharma approved the departmental inquiry report against RPS officer Labhuram Vishnoi, with charges held to be proved. He allegedly ignored directions while leading action against illegal sand mining in the Banas river during his tenure as SHO of Chauth Ka Barwara police station in Sawai Madhopur, resulting in a law and order situation and putting police personnel at risk.
