Jaisalmer: In a move to boost military morale, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan conducted a high-level visit to key military installations in Western India Monday.The CDS toured the strategically vital Suratgarh Military Station in Sriganganagar and Naliya Air Force Station in Gujarat, accompanied by Lt General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander South Western Command, and Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command.During his visit, General Chauhan praised the armed forces’ exceptional performance during Operation Sindoor, where troops successfully thwarted multiple breach attempts by western adversaries. He was briefed on the advanced air defence systems deployed during the operation and held strategic discussions with senior military commanders.“Our soldiers have demonstrated exemplary courage, resolute determination and unwavering commitment in maintaining national security,” said General Chauhan, while addressing the troops. He emphasised the importance of maintaining operational readiness in the face of evolving security challenges and the need to respond decisively to any threat.The CDS highlighted the successful inter-service coordination during the operation and extended special appreciation to the local civil administration for their crucial support. “The synergy between military and civil authorities has been instrumental in our operational success,” he said.
