Bhilwara: BJP MLA from Shahpura in Bhilwara district, Dr Lalaram Bairwa, Thursday expressed strong displeasure over alleged irregularities and poor-quality construction work at the under-construction multipurpose veterinary hospital in his constituency.The MLA conducted a surprise inspection of the hospital building, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 4.16 crore. During the visit, he alleged serious negligence in the construction work and directed officials to take immediate action against the contractor.Bairwa instructed officials to issue a notice to the contractor and stop the work until quality concerns were addressed. He said, “negligence and substandard work in govt construction projects would not be tolerated in the constituency.”Alleging that the quality of construction was poor, the MLA said such work could pose safety risks in the future. He warned officials to take action against the contractor or face accountability themselves.During the inspection, Bairwa broke a portion of a wall under construction and questioned its quality. When officials attempted to explain the damage, the MLA rejected the justification and said, “I am well aware of construction standards and building practices.”He directed officials to ensure that no compromise is made on construction quality and said work should resume only after deficiencies are rectified and verified through inspection.
