Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Thursday renewed his attack on predecessor Ashok Gehlot, saying more cases would surface “with evidence” and that Gehlot would be “further rattled”.He challenged Gehlot to prove even one of the questions he had raised at a public meeting in Jodhpur wrong. Sharma said merely making allegations would not work and that Gehlot must respond with “facts and evidence”.Questioning the previous Congress govt’s tenure, Sharma again flagged the appointment of an RPSC member, alleged irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission and the arrest of a personal security officer (PSO).“Did you not appoint a member to the RPSC? Is that person not in jail? Was there no scam in Jal Jeevan Mission? Was your PSO not arrested?” Sharma said.He said Congress should present an account of its five-year tenure and compare it with the current BJP govt’s “34 months in office”.Responding to Gehlot’s allegations, Sharma said Gehlot had raised questions about what happened in the chief minister’s office through statements to journalists. “If you have any facts, produce evidence,” Sharma said.Sharma also asked Gehlot to watch a news conference by the then DGP (crime) and an official associated with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, saying the former CM should take note of what was said about him.Sharma was addressing a public assembly at Ramleela Maidan under BJP’s “Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao” campaign. A march was taken out after the assembly with party office-bearers and elected representatives participating.
