Another Biwal kin stops attending medical college after NEET-UG paper leak probe

Jaipur: Another member of the Biwal family is said to have stopped attending medical college after the family came under scrutiny in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.Sources said a Biwal family girl enrolled at SMS Medical College in Jaipur has not been attending classes for the past few days after the case drew public attention and the agency carried out searches linked to the family.Several members of the Biwal family are under investigation after the CBI arrested Dinesh Biwal, his brother Mangilal Biwal, and Mangilal’s son Vikas in connection with the alleged paper leak racket. Investigators suspect the family may have played a role in facilitating candidates linked to the scam, though the probe is continuing and the full extent of the alleged network is yet to be established.Sources said the SMS Medical College student has remained absent since developments in the case intensified. Earlier, reports had also indicated that another member of the same family pursuing MBBS at a medical college in Dausa had similarly stopped attending classes following the arrests. The CBI recently conducted searches at the Biwal family’s residence in Jamwa Ramgarh near Jaipur as part of its wider investigation into the alleged nationwide examination scandal. Officials are examining financial transactions, communication records, and possible links between the accused and candidates who appeared for the examination.According to sources, investigators are also probing an alleged syndicate linked to the Biwal family to determine how widely the question paper and answers may have been circulated. “Primary probe showed that Yash Yadav arrested from Gurgaon knew Vikas Biwal, son of Mangilal. Through Yadav, the question paper reached the Biwal family,” an official said. The official added that Dinesh Biwal allegedly shared the paper with his son, who was preparing for NEET-UG 2026, and that it was then allegedly sold to others. “Dinesh’s minor son is also suspected to have shared the same questions with others in Sikar,” the official said.
