Jaipur: JMC Heritage (JMC-H) administration is developing a drone monitoring system to prevent illegal construction in the city and strengthen the waste management system. Commissioner Nidhi Patel witnessed a live demo from the rooftop of the National Institute of Ayurveda Wednesday to review the project.For about an hour, the commissioner inspected illegal construction and sanitation in the city using drones. During the live demo, she also identified ongoing illegal construction and directed the relevant department to take action.As part of the demo, monitoring was conducted within a three-kilometre range where illegal construction and illegal animal dairies were identified, and instructions for action were given.“A drone monitoring plan is being developed to improve the area under JMC-H. The plan aims to prevent illegal construction within the Walled City, monitor stray animals, strengthen sanitation, prevent encroachments, monitor route cleaning, night cleaning, and traffic congestion,” said Patel.During the demo, illegal construction was identified in the Brahmapuri area. Live photos and videos were sent to the relevant zone branch, and action was directed by the commissioner.An open garbage depot in Kanwar Nagar was also identified and cleaned. The commissioner also gave instructions for improvements like including night vision and a sound system.
