Jaipur: In a landmark achievement for Rajasthan badminton, young shuttlers Anvi Rathore and Jangjeet Singh Kajla have been selected to represent India in an upcoming international tournament in Chengzhou, China.Their selection follows impressive performances at the Ashwani Gupta Memorial All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament, which concluded in Panchkula, Haryana, on Sunday. Thirteen-year-old Anvi Rathore from Jaipur made history by becoming the youngest player from Rajasthan to join the national team. Anvi clinched a silver medal in the U-15 girls singles category, showcasing her talent by defeating second seed Hamsini Chadaram of Telangana 21-19, 8-21, 21-12 in the quarter-finals, and overcoming Maharashtra’s Sharayu Ranjane 21-4, 22-20 in the semi-finals.Her remarkable journey was halted in the final by Odisha’s Tanvi Patri, who won 21-11, 21-10. The Panchkula tournament served as the selection event for the Indian team set to compete in China from October 21 to 26, 2025. Both Anvi and Jangjeet secured their spots by reaching the finals.
