Jaipur: Debutants Kognivera ASC Polo Team scripted history by defeating the Thunderbolt Polo Team with a commanding score of 8-2.5 to emerge champions in the Army Commander’s Cup at the 61st Cavalry grounds here on Monday. Playing their very first polo tournament, Kognivera ASC delivered an exceptional performance, dominating the game from the very beginning and leaving the audience in awe with a one-sided contest. The team’s players showcased remarkable skills and teamwork. Dr Shivangi Singh, Savir Godara, Shamsheer Ali, and Argentina’s Bautista Alberdi shone with their brilliant play, earning loud applause and admiration from the spectators.Bautisa Alberdi emerged as the chief architect of the triumph with four goals. He was well supported by Shamsheer Ali, who notched up a couple of goals. Shivangi Singh and Savir Godara chipped in with a goal apiece.For the Thunderbolt Polo Team, Maj MS Chouhan and Maj Raghav Raj Singh scored a goal each. Lt Col Vishal Chouhan, Mukesh Gurjar and Ravindra Maang were the other members of the losing side.On this occasion, Kamlesh Sharma, CEO of Kognivera IT Company, expressed his pride and joy, saying, “This is truly a proud moment for us, as our team entered the polo circuit for the first time and went on to clinch the Army Commander’s Cup.
