Jaipur: In the wake of collapse of a govt school building in Piplodi village, Jhalawar district, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Friday directed all departments concerned to immediately inspect all govt buildings, especially schools, hospitals, and other public facilities, and to begin urgent repair work wherever required.CM instructed the district administrations, public works department, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation (RSRDC), and other agencies to carry out structural inspections without delay.A committee of technical experts will be formed to submit a comprehensive report within five days.“Special attention must be given to rural areas where school and healthcare infrastructure is often outdated or poorly maintained,” Sharma said. “Even buildings recently renovated must be reassessed, and if any quality lapses are found, strict action must be taken against those responsible.” He further directed that all unsafe buildings be vacated immediately. In the case of vulnerable schools, students should be shifted to safer structures or temporary classrooms in community centres.
