Jaipur: A day after tensions erupted in the Ramganj area of the city, police arrested 11 individuals in connection with a violent clash that broke out late Saturday night.The unrest began around 11 PM when a group of youths allegedly made lewd remarks at a local woman. When her husband confronted them and asked them to leave, he was reportedly assaulted. The altercation soon escalated as members from both sides gathered, resulting in a bout of stone-pelting that damaged five vehicles and several nearby houses.Police officials said that Ramganj police responded promptly to the scene, dispersing the mob and restoring order. Additional forces were deployed overnight, and intensive patrolling was launched in the surrounding neighbourhoods to prevent further incidents.By Sunday morning, the area remained under a tense calm, with heavy police deployment continuing on the ground. “An FIR has been registered, and further arrests are expected based on CCTV footage and eyewitness statements,” said a police official.
