Jaipur: City police Monday arrested a couple for allegedly stealing an auto-rickshaw they were travelling in as passengers on June 7. The theft was reported the following day by the vehicle’s driver.Deputy commissioner of police (west) Amit Kumar said the accused were identified as Kishore Kumar (42) and his wife Asha (30). According to the FIR filed at Sindhi Camp police station, complainant Manzoor Ahmed, an auto-rickshaw driver, stated that a man and a woman approached him, asking to be dropped off at Swami Colony. During the journey, the couple requested a stop near Khasa Kothi intersection and handed him Rs 50 to buy a bottle of liquor. “I parked the auto and went to the liquor store. When I returned, my auto-rickshaw was missing,” Ahmed stated. tnn
