Jaipur: A 16-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death Sunday in Dholpur district, triggering protests by villagers who blocked a state highway, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible and compensation for the victim’s family.Police said the teenager’s body was found at night in a forested area near Bari. It was allegedly covered with plastic sacks. Preliminary investigation suggests he sustained multiple head injuries after being repeatedly attacked with stones.According to police, the boy left home around 2 pm Sunday to graze cattle but did not return. His family and villagers launched a search and found his body in the forest around 9 pm.The killing sparked outrage in the village, with residents blocking the Bari-Baseri state highway. The protest continued Monday, with demonstrators placing the body on a tractor and demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and financial assistance for the bereaved family.Additional police personnel were deployed to maintain law and order, while senior district administration and police officials held talks with the victim’s family and protesters to persuade them to lift the blockade.
