Udaipur: To curb the illegal manufacture, storage, transportation and sale of liquor, preventive action, including barricading, patrolling and raids, was carried out in the state. Illegal liquor was seized in various districts of the state, wash was destroyed and cases were registered.A large quantity of spirit and illegal liquor was seized at the Jaipur Junction border in a joint raid by the EPF teams of Sikar and Nagaur in Sikar district.In Hanumangarh, 4,500 litres of wash and eight crude stills were destroyed in raid action by the excise team in Gram Gangagarh, Debughat, Dadabli Bas Maulvi and the Ghaggar flow area.In Banswara, action was taken against illegal hathkad liquor in the Danpur and Ambapura areas, where 3,000 litres of wash and two crude stills were destroyed and 35 bottles of illegal hathkad liquor were recovered.In Chittorgarh, in action by the EPF team Nimboheda, 500 litres of wash was destroyed, 30 litres of illegal liquor was recovered and two accused were arrested.In the same sequence, intensive checking of vehicles was carried out by setting up a barricade at Nagarana Toll, Sangaria, on Bharatmala Expressway in Hanumangarh district.
