RU usually issues up to three merit lists for undergraduate admissions

Jaipur: The University of Rajasthan (RU) Monday released its second undergraduate merit list, with the highest cut-off reaching 97.8% for BA major in political science at Maharani College in the unreserved category.University officials said the second list was issued after nearly 40% of undergraduate seats remained vacant across the university’s four constituent colleges. RU generally releases up to three merit lists for undergraduate admissions.Convener of the Central Admission Committee, Prof. Ramavatar Sharma, said, “Students selected in the second list will have the opportunity to complete document verification from July 7 till July 9. Following this, students can deposit their prescribed fees by visiting https://www.uniofraj.org. The last date for fee submission is July 10.”In the second list for Maharani College, for courses like BA arts (history), the cut-off was 97%; for three/four-year BA arts (English literature) and economics, the cut-off this year for the general category was 95.4% each; and for three/four-year BSc (maths group), the cut-off was 97.2% for the general category.In University Rajasthan College, the highest cut-off this year for the general category was 96.4% for three/four-year BA pass course (political science).In Commerce College, the cut-off for three/four-year BCom (regular) was 91.4% in the second merit list for the general category, and for three/four-year BCom (Accountancy-Business Studies) was 90%.In Maharaja College, in the second list too, the highest cut-off in the general category was for BSc (maths group) at 95%, followed by BSc (maths) at 94%. In the first list for Maharaja College, issued on June 29, the highest cut-off was for BSc (mathematics), which was 96%.
