Jaipur: The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) Monday disclosed the arrest of two accused in separate recruitment examinations and fake FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) certificate cases. Both accused were arrested on July 2, according to the SOG.In the fake FMGE certificate racket, the SOG arrested Charan Singh, 27, a resident of Gopalgarh in Deeg district, who completed his MBBS from Almaty University, Kazakhstan, between 2017 and 2022. The SOG alleged that after repeatedly failing the FMGE screening test, he procured a forged certificate through co-accused Nafees Khan for Rs 24 lakh and secured an internship at Govt Medical College, Dholpur. “We have identified more than 100 beneficiaries of the racket so far, while 28 persons, including the former Rajasthan Medical Council registrar, were already arrested. The investigation revealed that forged FMGE certificates were allegedly arranged for Rs 20-30 lakh per candidate,” said an officer.In another case, the SOG arrested Pintu Kumar Meena, 27, in connection with the Laboratory Assistant Direct Recruitment Examination-2018 OMR sheet manipulation case. The accused, currently serving as an LDC at an Eklavya Model Residential School in Jhadol, Udaipur, allegedly benefited after marks on his OMR sheet were fraudulently inflated from 105 to 158, enabling his selection.
