Jaipur: Rajasthan govt Tuesday directed field officers in the mines department to ensure 100% recovery of March revenue targets of Rs 1,550 crore within the next seven days.Chairing a review meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Mines and Petroleum, Aparna Arora directed officials to intensify efforts to recover penalties imposed during action against illegal mining activities, ensure timely auction of royalty collection centres, and collect pending royalty dues.She said, “Officers should undertake daily review, analysis and monitoring of revenue collection at the superintendent mining engineer offices, while the department headquarters will carry out regular assessments to coordinate with offices where collections are lagging.”Officials were also asked to expedite recovery of old outstanding dues and ensure 100% collection of current liabilities.The department has already collected over Rs 9,620 crore in revenue till March 23 this year, recording a growth of 12%. Arora claimed the collection is over Rs 1,000 crore more than the revenue generated during the same period last year.
